What form of exercise do you teach?
Yoga and Meditation
What does exercise do for you - outside and inside?
Yoga harmonizes my internal world with my external physical form. Through asana practice I am able to keep myself strong, light and pain-free as I do any form of physical movement. The practice of yoga also links my body to my breath and my breath to my body to allow my internal energy or prana to move freely!

My favorite reggae song is “Could You Be Loved”! It’s uplifting and reminds me to receive love and be open to give love to all beings and experiences. Favorite line of the song: “Love would never leave us alone.”
What does nature mean to you? How does it inspire you?
Nature is my healer and my grounding force. I get to Central Park in NYC daily and use mindful walks as a moving meditation. I always find something simple in nature like the buds on a flower or the sound of the wind through the trees as inspiration to slow down and observe.
How can our natural world help bring people closer to their true natures?
Nature is a microcosm of our inner world. When we notice how the natural world thrives and cooperates with its surroundings through different seasons, it can remind us of how we are all connected as living beings in this universe.
How can exercise make us stronger human beings, better able to connect with others and embrace everyone's right to thrive?
Any form of movement to me is exercise. When we move our bodies, we move prana around the body and that can stimulate our mood, our contentment and our outlook and help us connect to each other!
Why is it important for us to connect with other human beings?
Connection at any level is so crucial to a happy life. Mediation is a how we connect to ourselves and can allow us to have more meaningful connections with others. We cannot exist alone! Music and movement can both help us maintain a lifted spirit and form a community.
